As Principal of Red Kite, Evelyn Olson Lamden is an accomplished marketer and corporate executive. Her distinguished 30+ year career has provided the experience needed to lead the organization. She has worked for or with major corporations and agencies, including Goodyear, Jack-in-the-Box Restaurants, Jenny Craig International, and Nissan Dealers Association through Carat North America Media, as well as several franchise brands, such as Yum Brands, Budget Blinds, The Little Gym and Help-U-Sell Real Estate.
While at Goodyear, she broke new ground as one of the first women in management and the first female field director for regional advertising, working with an all-male industry at the time, and forging a path for other women to follow.
In November, 2012 Evelyn was selected by San Diego Business Journal as one of the winners of their annual “Women Who Mean Business Award” given to women who have made a “profound effect on San Diego’s Business, Cultural, and Civic Life.” In September, 2014 Evelyn was a finalist for the 2014 San Diego Woman of the Year by San Diego Magazine.
She is skilled in most areas of marketing: franchising and franchise development, co-op advertising and FTC compliance, direct response and branding, traditional media and digital media, social media, search marketing, database management and analysis, market research, and strategic marketing and media planning. And her industry experience is also expansive: automotive, health and fitness, real estate, transportation, home improvement, cause marketing, gender marketing, and ethnic marketing.
She graduated magna cum laude in Mass Media Communications from the University of Akron and received her MBA from the University of Phoenix. A consummate lover of the arts, she is a leader in the performing arts community in San Diego, and is active in theatre, dance, and music.
