Evelyn Olson Lamden and Margaret McAllister founded Red Kite Business Advisors as a consulting firm
specializing in the women’s market. After 30 years each working for major corporations and on
key advertising accounts, they came to realize the importance of the female consumer to their businesses
and clients. It didn’t matter if it were real estate or weight loss, home improvement, childcare
or auto repair. They recognized that marketing success hinged on what women thought and how they bought.
In 2007, they decided to pursue the subject they knew best and opened Red Kite in San Diego, California.
Today Red Kite is certified by WBENC (Women's Business Enterprise National Council) and a member
of the San Diego Chamber of Commerce. The firm is also actively involved in promoting environmental and
social sustainability. In addition to establishing its corporate sustainability policy, Red Kite sponsored
the 2009 Good and Green™ conference, and supports women-owned businesses around the world
through Kiva, the online micro-lending service.
